"My grandfather raised me. He owned his own grocery store and several other properties and was a very disciplined man. He taught me how to invest, how to fish, how to ride a motorcycle, and how to be myself. He was special in so many ways I can't even tell them all. He was like a father to me. He died of a massive heart attack when I was 17 years old, and it was devastating. I was at the senior lock-in at my high school when I got the call. If I could ask him one question, it would be, 'Why did you have to leave so soon?'
"Death is not the worst thing that can happen to a person though. Being alive and not living is the worst thing. My grandfather taught me that. He taught me how to live life. The most important things I know, I learned from him."
