"I spent all of my childhood listening to music, imagining things, imagining visuals, imagining dancers and movement. I thought I wanted to go into choreography and was in school in Colorado as a dance major for a while. Of course I knew I didn't want to be a painter because that's what my mother did. *laughs* Then I came back to Memphis, took one class at Memphis College of Art, and I was hooked. I had wonderful teachers, and I loved it. I still paint to music; the pieces in this show were done while I listened to Philip Glass."
These pieces by Pam Hassler are part of an exhibit at L Ross Gallery that runs through March 28, 2015. The show is titled Water and Light: Two Visions.
