“I proposed to her in the same spot where we kissed for the first time, in a park on top of a hill in Ventura, California. There’s a giant cross there and lots of greenery and flowers, and you can look down and see the beach, the ocean, and the whole city of Ventura. It’s really beautiful. We had gone out to eat, and afterwards I said, ‘Let’s go to the cross.’ I was nervous; I didn’t know what to say or do, but I just took the ring out and said, ‘We’ve been together for four years. I would love to ask you if you would marry me,’ and she said yes.”
“I was really, really surprised!”
“We’ve been married for a month now, and we live here. We’re still on our honeymoon. It’s completely different for both of us now. All the time we were dating, I lived here, she lived in California, and I was flying out to see her, but now we’re together. Every day I’m excited to come home from work to be with her. I know somebody is waiting for me now.”
