"I was a lab technician at Methodist Hospital, and I enjoyed my job, but when my husband and I had our first child, we agreed that I would stay home with her. People kept calling from work, asking me to come back and at least fill in for them when they were on vacation, but I told them I didn't trust anybody else to take care of my baby. I wanted to do that myself. Thankfully, my husband made a good salary and I could stay home with all three daughters. It's what I wanted. I loved everything about being a mother."
