“I was in management for 26 years but there were some false accusations against me, I lost my job, and I haven't been able to find another one yet. Right now I’m working to clear my name, but in the meantime I’m homeless. I had always thought about opening a shelter but I’d never been in one until just recently. It was like God was saying to me, ‘How are you going to open a shelter and you don’t even know what one is like?’ I’m finding out now that lot of bad things go on in there that people on the outside don’t know. People don’t get along with each other and there are some big issues. I’m not worried though. I’m just passing through this part of my life and learning. You can’t help somebody if you don’t know what they’re going through, so that’s what this time is for. I’m staying positive about the situation.”
