“If I could give some advice to high school kids, it would be this: It’s all right to dream big, but a dream can only go so far. You have to have vision; that's your game plan to make the dream come true. There will always be somebody trying to hold you back, but you have to stay determined, put your all into it, and work your plan. I would say to kids, Don’t get a record. Don’t do anything to get yourself put in jail. If you try to go too fast, you’ll complicate your life. Just build slowly, be patient, and you’ll have the peace of mind that comes from knowing that what you have, you’ve gotten honestly. And most important, you have to have a connection with God. He’s your main source of strength. You have to take care of your mind, body, and spirit.”
