"Hospice makes it possible for a person to be with family during their last weeks or months, to feel supported by the people who love them and whom they love. It's a sweet and special time. I’ll never forget one of our first hospice patients. I knew her daughter, and I stopped by to see her just after the mother had died. As we sat talking, the daughter said of her mother, 'She was here to see me take my first breath, and I was here to see her take her last.' I’ll never forget that."
