“I’m from southern Germany, studying here in Memphis for a semester as part of an exchange program. The university here is so much bigger than the ones back home; that's the first thing I noticed. There is so much space. Also, America has college sports, which you don’t find in Germany. I’ve only been here three weeks, but I’m really enjoying it. The culture is interesting; I like the college and I like the music. I do miss a few things: my family, my friends, and maybe the German food. I really like German food, although American food is good too. I especially like the barbecue. We have barbecue in Germany, but it’s different. It’s better here---of course!” [*laughs*]
