“ I want my daughters to do better than I did growing up. I’d like to see them get good jobs, have vehicles, have places of their own, and be able to have good lives. That would make me happy. Times are hard though. Before I leave the house in the mornings, I say a little prayer because you don’t know if you’ll make it back again that evening. You never know.”
