Office Arthur Avant iis the recipient of the 2010 D.A.R.E. Officer of the Year award. Read more about him HERE. In addition to his police work, writing, illustrating, and teaching, he is a personal trainer. One of the young athletes he trained won a Silver Medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
