"My grandmother was eccentric, spontaneous, had a quirky sense of humor, and always introduced herself as 'Honey' even though her name was actually Julia. She was in a wheelchair, but that didn't limit her. She just lived with such reckless abandon, never seeming to consider the risks or consequences of her whims. All she really cared about was bringing as many people to God as possible. It didn't matter to her what area of town she was in, she'd just roll around talking to people and inviting them to church. She'd say, 'Nobody's going to hurt a little old lady in a wheelchair.' We got used to her showing up at Christmas dinner with random strangers she'd found on her way there, so we'd just set out extra places ahead of time. We still tell stories about Honey at family gatherings and always end up laughing. She would have laughed too."
